An unnatural silence descends on the bar as the Ramones’ hammering guitars
begin to erupt from the speakers. Apparently it’s an unwritten rule in
high-level karaoke not to mix sims and reals on the same night, and the karaoke
team that you edged out for the gold (Rock You Like A Hurricane) interprets
your violation of this standard as rubbing it in. A Klaus Meine look-alike informs
you of your transgression by elbowing you in the face; when the police finally
come around to break up the ensuing brawl, you’re identified as the one
who started it and are rewarded with a nice bunk in county for the night.
